I created this quilt for my adult, autistic daughter. She has overcome many roadblocks. It is difficult as her caregiver because she can do so many things; however, prompting and a light touch is needed for processing simple tasks. It gets exhausting, but we constantly strive to increase spatial awareness through exercise and breathing techniques. It is my job to assist in any way I can to encourage her to be more independent.
