Traditionally working as a photographer, I decided to begin a notebook of simple drawings in early March 2020. Little did I know that this drawing project would be an oasis for my individuality and peace of mind during a time that was consumed by constant togetherness, snacks and longing for a time that once was. This specific drawing was a departure into a larger format, expressing my own sense of overwhelm, feeling consumed by the deluge of the pandemic.
I am a mother of two children, ages 8 and 5, and live with my partner in Brooklyn, NY.
