Don’t Touch Me, 2021
Plaster
These sculptures are a response to my experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since everything shut down last March, we have all been at home, co-existing in the same space without much outside help or support. During this time our family has welcomed a new life. We have been pushed and pulled as pressure builds and tension within our walls runs high. These sculptures are a manifestation of the energy that has built up within our family. The objects absorb the pressure of our hands and fingers, embodying the emotions that have collided and collapsed within our family.
