Amputated Octopus, February 2021
This blackout poem attempts (in form and message) to convey the many, many limitations that mothers face and navigate in a day (and which are compounded by the pandemic). As it is created using an original, longer poem of my own, it further explores the way time (and the pandemic, specifically) has changed and eroded mothering roles and identity.
