Ode to Bernd & Hilla with Child, 2020, was made during the 2020 pandemic while being quarantined with a toddler. Everyday seemed to melt into the next and was punctuated by feeding my child. The only thing I knew for certain is that he was going to need breakfast. Taking a photograph using the same silicone food mat everyday reminded me of Bernd & Hilla Becher’s Typologies photo series.
